8/5/2008 I found your site today and am impressed . One of the 828 Sq Albacore pilots was Sub. Lt. C V Howard who was shot down by a Bf 110 near Kirkenes. Ditched at sea and was picked up by a German ship . My father became a close friend while they were in Stalag LuftIII and I met the retired Captain Howard while on a visit to UK in 1991 .Keep up the great work . These men deserve to be remembered .

Jeg er fra Sørvær på sørøya.Jeg har lenge forsøkt å finne ut hvor de tre motorene i fjæra kommer fra(Do-24).Sørvær ble brendt ned og befolkningen evakuert av tyskerne i november 44. Vrakstedet ble ryddet av tyskerne før befolkningen kom tilbake og bare motorene ble liggende igjen.Har du mere info om denne hendelsen ? ca. 300 meter lengre vest ligger crashstedet til en BV-138 som fløy i fjellet i 1942
